I am a Life & Health Insurance Agent and have teamed up with a gentleman from Atlanta who noticed the need for insurance for 1099 drivers back in the late 90's and has been handling the Georgia Motor Trucking Association member firms ever since.
We have put together a comprehensive package that is strictly volunteer and is guaranteed issue meaning no blood, no urine, no health questions. If you thought you were uninsurable, think again. It includes disability, vision, dental, life insurance, critical illness, limited medical and workers comp. By joining an organization called the "Professional Drivers Council" for $10 a month you now have access to any or all of the above benefits. You can pick and choose whichever you need. By joining the PDC you can now receive these benefits at an extremely large group rate, all that is needed is a minimum of 2 drivers from a given company to enroll. It's really that simple!
We have been working with many companies to fight for owner/operators and have been able to negotiate the prices down as we know it is the drivers that turly build the foundation for Americas Economy on a daily bases.
