I have been selling used trucks for several years and I get asked that question a lot. There is no right or wrong answer to this question. If you are looking for a truck all I can do advise you to look for a reputable dealer. One that has reasonable finacing options, warranties and most importantly a sales person that knows what he or she is doing. A good sales person will ask all the right question about the lanes you will be running, the weight you will be pulling, the miles you will be running in a years time, the speed you usually drive etc.. A good sales person should use their knowledge and spec out a truck to meet you needs so you can obtain maxiumum fuel economy and offer suggestions to help you reach your goal. Becoming a succesful owner-operator is no more than a simple math equation. It starts with finding a reputable lease on company and understanding your true cost in operating a truck. Once you can accomplish this any truck can be the best truck out there if it meets your financial goals. It does not matter if it's not tne the best looking truck on the road, what matters is your family.
